WHERE TO STAY IN CAMIGUIN, PHILIPPINES

Mambajao, a central option where to stay in Camiguin

Mambajao is the most advisable "city" to stay in Camiguin.

Although they consider it a city, it is more of a large town. Here you will have the comfort of having shops, restaurants, cafes... close to your accommodation without having to take transport.

You have different types of accommodation, and although they are not great luxuries, you can find great hotels for 10 euros per night per person. You can also stay in nearby areas (a few km) on the beach.

Some great options where to stay in Mambajao:

It is a house that you can reserve in full or by rooms. With free Wi-Fi and all the necessary services. The house is surrounded by woods in an idyllic setting.

Camiguin isn't a very big island. From Mambajao to Guinsiliban there are only 23 kilometers. And going around the island along the coastal road will only take you 1 hour. So, in reality, if you are going to have a rental car or motorcycle, it does not matter where you stay. Everything will depend on whether you want a quieter area or not.

In addition to Mambajao, the other best option is to stay in the south, in the "city" of Guinsiliban. This town has quiet beaches and nearby is the Giant Clams Sanctuary and White beach. There are no large accommodations in the south of the island. Virtually all are homestays. But if you are looking for an economical option, you will undoubtedly find plenty here. Here you can find hotels in the south of Camiguin.
