HOW TO GO FROM PARIS TO BRUSSELS

How to go from Paris to Brussels by train, the most comfortable option

For me the most comfortable option to make this journey is the train. There are many frequencies from early in the morning until late at night with the Thalys trains. In addition, the trip is very fast, it takes approximately 1.30h. There are tickets starting at around 30 euros if you buy them in advance. I do not recommend improvising and buying it at the last moment because you can end up paying 4 or 5 times more.

You also have the option of contracting the low cost option to travel by train. These trains are Low Cost IZY.

The only difference with the Thalys is that the seats are foldable and take an hour longer. The journey takes about 2h 30 minutes. Baggage restrictions also apply. For example, if you bring a large suitcase you will have to pay an extra €15. You can find tickets from 10 euros by booking in advance.

All trains leave from the Gare du Nord station in Paris. You can get there with metro lines 4 and 5 or RER B. Once in Brussels, the destination station is Gare du Midi. It is about 2 kilometers south of the city center. You can get closer to the center on foot or by tram. The taxi option is ruled out if your budget is tight, they are usually expensive.

How to go from Paris to Brussels by bus, the cheapest option

If your budget is tight and you have time to invest in trips, a good option is the bus. It will take about 4 hours to get there.

There are about 10 daily departures, so you can choose the time that suits you best and suits your itinerary. Tickets are usually around 12 euros with Flixbus and it is essential to book it online since they are not sold physically.

The vast majority of buses leave from the Bercy station, right next to the Gare de Lyon train station. Just 20 minutes by metro from the center of Paris.

How to go from Paris to Brussels on an excursion

There are several options to go to Brussels from Paris and one of them is to book an excursion of one or several days. It is a comfortable and practical option if you do not want to be aware of transportation... These tours include transportation, a guide, and a guided tour of the city of Brussels.

How to go from Paris to Brussels by car, the best option if there are several of you or you are going on a road trip

In general, it is an option that I like a lot. Renting a car and hitting the road for free has many advantages. You will be able to establish your schedules, stop along the way wherever you want and mark your itinerary. In general, rental cars in European cities are not extremely expensive due to the high competition there is, so you can find offers from 15 euros per day. If you are traveling two or more, this option in terms of the route is already worth your while.

You should also take into account that if your intention is only to make the journey between cities, you will have to pay high costs for parking lots, plus fuel.

It is the perfect option if you are going to visit several destinations in France or Belgium. Because then yes, it will come out very well.

How to go from Paris to Brussels by plane

You also have the option of doing this journey by plane. It is not the best option, since being such a short journey it is not worth the time you will invest. You must take into account the transfer to the Paris airport, the margin of time prior to passing the controls, the boarding... plus the transfer from the Brussels airport to the center.

The flight only takes about 50 minutes and there is only one flight per day. The prices are very high due to the low supply, tickets are usually between 250 and 300 euros.
